I watched both movies the weekend it came out, pretty much back-to-back. That's probably where my mistake was. I had a hard time sitting through Zohan because it was pretty bad. I found myself squirming in my seats wondering when it'll be over. It was such a dissapointment because I'm a pretty big Adam Sandler fan. But I gotta be honest, this movie sucked.
As soon as I finished watching Zohan (I paid for both tickets mind you!), I watched Kung Fu Panda. It was a good movie and lots of people enjoyed it as evidenced by excitable and vocal kids in the theater. But it was just that for me. A very good kid's movie. I've enjoyed other kids movies in the past, Shrek, Toy Story, Finding Nemo, but Kung Fu Panda, not as much for some reason. I was tired watching it and thought the plot was trite. (Although master Shifu was so cute as that little mouse animal. They come up with the cutest and funniest looking characters.)
I also think watching two movies back-to-back didn't help me with Kung Fu Panda. By the time Kung Fu Panda started, I was already tired, bored, and fidgeting in my seat. And a little annoyed at how much Zohan sucked.
Here's the Kung Fu Panda poster in Russian. One of our managers is in Moscow right now (the trip I was supposed to go to, but I'm not bitter); and he sent this.
